ICCCAD believes that placing local constituencies from local geographies at the center of the discussion allows front-line leaders to share their local adaptation strategies and internal knowledge and experience to engage with external knowledge and enhance their understanding of the impact of climate. Movement building is most effective within your own locality. Organizing constituencies within local geographies makes it easier to understand the nature of power, engage with it, demand accountability and be accountable.
