Visiting Researcher
Dr Mohammad Sarker is an Environmental social scientist with research interests and expertise in environmental (including climate) change impacts and societal response, climate induced migration, climate adaptation, climate refugees, conflict and forced migration, urban poverty, hydro-climatic variability and climate modelling. He has also experience of mixed methods research (both quantitative and qualitative), with applied skills in GIS and remote sensing. He earned a Ph.D. degree in Geography from the University of Sheffield, UK. My PhD thesis was entitled: “Environmental change and its impact on migration in Bangladesh”. He hold two Masters degrees. In his MSc thesis at VUB ((Vrije Universiteit Brussels, Belgium), He investigated recent climate change in Bangladesh. In the past, He obtained BSc (hons) and MSc at the University of Dhaka, Bangladesh. He is a reviewer at International Journal of Climate Change and Sustainability Journal Collection. He is also external reviewer at APN (Asia-Pacific Network for Global Change Research).
