Youth Innovation Fund-Sponsoring Innovative Idea/Campaign Competitions for University Clubs

 

ICCCAD is excited to launch the first “Youth Innovation Fund”. Applications are welcome from university clubs or individual as a representative of university club who are working in field of climate change and environmental sustainability to improve the lives of climate vulnerable communities of Bangladesh.

About Youth Innovation Fund

Youth Innovation Fund is a small grant support to fund and sponsor a number of university clubs who want to contribute in the field of climate change and development. The fund will be given as a part of “Youth Leadership Program” under the project “Capacity strengthening of multi-actors to limit climate change impacts and enhance resilience” funded by Sweden. Under the “Youth Innovation Fund” ICCCAD is inviting youth to provide innovative ideas or project that will contribute in the field of climate change and environmental sustainability.

Benefits

The fund will offer an annual grant of 5,00,000 BDT for each club. The offer can support in total 04 university clubs. In addition, the offer will provide –

  • Dedicated support from ICCCAD to strength the club initiatives as well as work together for the successful project/initiative/idea implementation
  • To connect, networking and learn with other fund grantees through digital technologies as well as a face-to-face convening

Thematic area for funding

The youth innovation fund is looking for providing the fund to catalyze Youth Projects. The priority thematic area for funding is (but not limited to a focus on)-

  • Climate Change adaptation and mitigation
  • Pollution & Waste Management
  • Disaster Risk Reduction
  • Renewable energy
  • Loss and Damage
  • Climate Change Conflict
  • Women and Inclusion

Eligibility

Only university clubs can apply for funding

Payment Modality:

The 50% fund will be disbursing in-advance and the rest 50% will be disbursed after submitting the report.

Reporting:

Grantee partners will have to submit one project narrative and financial report to ICCCAD after the project completion

Deadline

The deadline for application is 10th July, 2023
