Gobeshona Global Conference 5
April 26 - April 30

The fifth annual Gobeshona Global Conference (GGC5), organized by the International Centre for Climate Change and Development (ICCCAD), will be held virtually from the 26th to the 30th of April 2025.
The conference continues its focus on Locally-Led Adaptation (LLA) and resilience, bringing together local, regional and international researchers, scholars, policymakers, and practitioners to support and amplify the creativity and leadership of local communities addressing climate change on the frontlines.
The conference also places strong emphasis on improving the quality and actionability of research—encouraging sessions that aim to connect research to real-world impacts through peer learning and practical feedback.
This five-day-long virtual event will run 24 hours each day across global time zones and feature a variety of session formats including panels, participatory discussions, and networking events, creating space for diverse voices and impactful collaboration.
