Program Coordinator
Tariqul Hasan Rifat is the Program Coordinator of the Youth program at the International Centre on Climate Change and Development (ICCCAD). With a Bachelor and a Master’s degree in International Relations from Bangladesh University of Professionals, Rifat has dedicated over three years to voluntary service, including roles with AIESEC in Bangladesh and Activista. He actively contributes to climate-based policies, annual carbon footprint calculations. In his previous role as an Associate Programme Officer with ActionAid Bangladesh where he emphasized climate-induced migration, youth-led climate activism, and climate finance advocacy. Rifat’s professional expertise lies in environmental adaptation methods for youth, aligning with the resilience framework and locally-led adaptation strategies to combat climate change in Bangladesh. He is an alumnus of the Faith in the Commonwealth program, supported by the Commonwealth Secretariat. Outside of work, Rifat’s interests include exploring the political history of the world and traveling historical places.
