Gender Analyst
Jannat Ara Shifa has been working as a Gender Analyst at the International Center for Climate Change and Development (ICCCAD). She holds a both bachelor’s and a master’s degree in Women and Gender Studies from the University of Dhaka. Her research encompasses critical interdisciplinary issues, including migration, indigenous rights, public policy, women’s empowerment, masculinities, and gender-responsive approaches to climate change and agricultural adaptation.
Prior to her current role, Jannat contributed to several research projects on women’s empowerment, gender-based violence, sustainable development and entrepreneurship, the ability to respond to development opportunities, and the dynamics of masculinities in the matrilineal Garo community.
