Call for Proposal-Catalyst Youth Project

ICCCAD is excited to launch the first “Youth Innovation Fund”. Applications are welcome from youth-led or youth focused groups, organizations or motivated youth individuals who are working in field of climate change and environmental sustainability to improve the lives of climate vulnerable communities of Bangladesh.

About Youth Innovation Fund

Youth Innovation Fund is a small grant support to fund and sponsor a number of youth led and youth serving organizations as well as individual youth who want to contribute in the field of climate change and development. The fund will be given as a part of “Youth Leadership Program” under the project “Capacity strengthening of multi-actors to limit climate change impacts and enhance resilience” funded by Sweden. Under the “Youth Innovation Fund” ICCCAD is inviting youth to provide innovative ideas or project that will contribute in the field of climate change and environmental sustainability.

Benefits

The fund will offer an annual grant of 5,00,000 BDT for each grantee. The offer can support in total 04 grantees. In addition, the offer will provide –

Dedicated support from ICCCAD to identify your goals for strengthening your group or organization and work together for the successful project/initiative/idea implementation
To connect, networking and learn with other fund grantees through digital technologies as well as a face-to-face convening

Thematic area for funding

The youth innovation fund is looking for providing the fund to catalyze Youth Projects. The priority thematic area for funding is (but not limited to a focus on)-

Climate Change adaptation and mitigation
Pollution & Waste Management
Disaster Risk Reduction
Renewable energy
Loss and Damage
Climate Change Conflict
Women and Inclusion

Eligibility

Individual youth working or motivated to work in field of climate change, adaptation and mitigation
Are youth-led (where the leadership of the organization or group are young people aged under 30)
Are Youth focused organization
Are non-profit organizations or groups

The Innovation Fund does not support:

Local offices, affiliates, or projects of large NGOs, INGOs, governments, or intergovernmental organizations
Affiliates of or projects of government agencies, schools or universities, or for profit businesses
Efforts to support or oppose candidates for public office
Organization that, in policy or in practice, discriminate on the basis of race, ethnicity, religion, gender, gender identity, disability, or sexual orientation
Organization that conduct or support violent activities or violate criminal law

Payment Modality:

The 50% fund will be disbursing in-advance to awarded individuals to his/her Bank accounts (or A/C pay cheque) direct from IUB account. The rest 50% will be disbursed after submitting the report.

Reporting:

Grantee partners will have to submit one project narrative and financial report to ICCCAD after the project completion

The deadline for application is 10^th July, 2023
