We are excited to launch the first “Youth Innovation Fund 2025”. Applications are welcome from youth-led or youth-focused organizations, or motivated -non-profit organizations or groups, including social enterprises who are working in the field of climate change and environmental sustainability to improve the lives of climate-vulnerable communities of Bangladesh.
What is the Youth Innovation Fund?
Youth Innovation Fund is a small grant support to fund and sponsor a number of youth-led and youth-serving organizations as well as individual youth who want to contribute to the field of climate change and development. The fund will be given as a part of “Youth Leadership Program” under the project “Capacity strengthening of multi-actors to limit climate change impacts and enhance resilience” project. For each of the themes of funding, ICCCAD is asking the youth to provide innovative ideas or projects that they wish to bring into reality.
What does the Fund offer?
The fund will offer an annual grant of 5,00,000 BDT for each grantee for about in total 05 grantees. In addition, the opportunity will provide –
- Dedicated support from ICCCAD to identify your goals for strengthening your group and work together for the successful project/initiative/idea implementation
- To connect, network and learn with other fund grantees through digital technologies as well as a face-to-face convening
What is the Youth Innovation Fund looking to fund?
The Youth Innovation Fund is looking to provide the fund to catalyze Youth Projects. The priority thematic area for funding is (but not limited to a focus on)-
- Climate Change adaptation and mitigation
- Pollution & Waste Management
- Disaster Risk Reduction
- Renewable energy
- Loss and Damage
- Climate Change Conflict
- Women and Inclusion
- Activism and Policy Advocacy
Who can apply?
- Youth-led and youth-focused organisation (where the leadership of the organization or group are young people aged under 30)
- Working in the field of climate change, adaptation, and mitigation
- Are non-profit organizations or groups, including social enterprises
The Innovation Fund does not support:
- Local offices, affiliates, or projects of large NGOs, INGOs, governments, or intergovernmental organizations
- Affiliates of or projects of government agencies, schools or universities, or for-profit businesses
- Efforts to support or oppose candidates for public office
- Organization that, in policy or practice, discriminates based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, gender identity, disability, or sexual orientation
- Organizations that conduct or support violent activities or violate criminal law
What does the Youth Innovation Fund require from grantees?
- Grantee partners will have to submit one narrative and financial report to ICCCAD after the project completion.
