Short Course Summary
A three-day intensive training course on the next steps following from the decision on loss and damage at COP 18 in Doha for policymakers and other stakeholders. Experts from a range of disciplines will facilitate sessions and developing a range of approaches to address loss and damage in the national context of Bangladesh. Participants will engage in discussions on integrating disaster risk reduction and climate change adaptation in the context of national policy and developing cross-sectoral approaches to reduce vulnerability to climate change. Resource people will include Dr. Saleemul Huq of the International Centre for Climate Change and Development, Professor Ainun Nishat of BRAC University, Dr. Koko Warner of United Nations University.
