The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Bangladesh in collaboration with the International Centre for Climate Change and Development (ICCCAD) at Independent University, Bangladesh (IUB) organized a Public Lecture on ‘Contemporary Global Climate Change Debate: Challenges and Prospect’ on Monday, 16 March, 2015 at  IUB’s Permanent Campus, in Bashundhara, Dhaka.

Sir David King, Climate Change Envoy, UK, was the Key note Speaker.

Dr Saleemul Huq, Director, International Centre for Climate Change and Development (ICCCAD) and Prof M Omar Rahman, Vice Chancellor, IUB, delivered the welcome remarks.

Mr Md Shahidul Haque, Foreign Secretary, Bangladesh, delivered the closing remarks.

HE Mr. Robert Gibson, British High Commissioner, Dhaka, HE Ms. Sophie Aubert, French Ambassador, Dhaka, Helen O’Connor, Advisor, Climate Change and Environment from DFID Bangladesh and Mr A Matin Chowdhury, Chairman, ESTCDT- the Founding Trust of IUB were also present in the event.
